GROUP RESISTANCE TRAINING CLASSES

  • These classes are resistance/ weight training focused aimed at toning and sculpting your body.
  • All the exercises are modified for varying fitness levels.
  • The small group setting creates an amazing atmosphere with everyone having a positive mindset to do a good workout and have fun at the same time!

    This helps you push harder and motivates you to remain consistent
    .

With this package, I offer you:

– A professional fully-equipped studio.

– Training programmes suited to your specific needs.

– Weekly body fat assessments (If this forms part of your goal).

– Monthly in-depth body analysis i.e. body circumferences (If this forms part of your goal).

– Nutritional guidelines and meal plans.

– Professional advice and guidance in all fitness related training.

 

Consistency is key if you are after results that last and I created this package with the intention to offer a “healthy lifestyle” package to clients to enjoy and benefit as part of their weekly schedule.

Resistance Training Classes on offer at Move:

1. THE ULTIMATE PACKAGE

  • 3 weight training sessions per week (12 per month).
  • Very in-depth, with a good amount of time available to hit all the necessary muscle groups and increase strength, tone up or lose weight.

 2. THE QUICK FIX

  • 2 weight training sessions per week (8 per month).
  • This is intended for those with less time or who would rather combine their weight training regime with Pilates or Yoga.

3. BACK TO BASICS INTRO SESSION

  • I will take you through the basic movements and correct form before joining a class.
  • 1 hour and 30 min introduction class for those who have never resistance trained before or would like a one-on-one recap.
  • Recommended if you are new to exercise/ resistance training.

PILATES

  • Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on core strength, body alignment, flexibility and mobility.
  • How Pilates could benefit you:
  1. Increases core control
  2. Low impact exercise
  3. May help prevent injury
  4. Improves co-ordination
  5. Improves circulation
  6. Improves the look and feel of one’s body
  7. Complements any exercise program
  • “Pilates is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play, and in the way you work” as Joseph Pilates put it so well.

    All Pilates packages include the following:

      1 or 2 Pilates sessions per week. These will be performed in a group setting.

    Nutritional plan according to agreed-upon health and fitness goals.

     Weekly body assessments- weight, body fat (If this forms part of your goal).

     Monthly in-depth body analysis- i.e. body circumferences (If this forms part of your goal).

Pilates Classes on offer at Move:

         1. ABC (ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS CLASS)

  • Learn the sound principles of good movement as the foundation towards improved strength, balance, co-ordination & flexibility. Great for beginners and individuals with previous injuries, but still provides a good challenge for those with experience!
  • We will take you through the basic fundamentals of Pilates mat work such as breathing, posture and core stability, progressing weekly through beneficial Pilates exercises.

    2. INTERMEDIATE
  • This class is for those with some previous Pilates experience. It’s a more physically demanding session, where we build on Beginners principles.  However, modifications are offered to make movements more or less challenging.

    3. BACK TO BASICS INTRO SESSION
  • I will take you through the basic movements and correct form before joining a class.
  • 1 hour and 30 min introduction class for those who have never done Pilates before or would like an in-depth recap.
  • Recommended if you are new to Pilates.

POWER YOGA

  • Want A Sweaty, Fast-Paced Flow? Power Yoga Could Be the Perfect Class for You.
  • Power Yoga is a dynamic, vigorous practice in which yoga postures are linked in a flowing sequence in rhythm with the breath.
  • Power Yoga combines the athletics of Ashtanga Yoga with the flow of Vinyasa Yoga.
  • There will be a series of challenging positions that you either repeatedly move through quickly (increasing heart rate and targeting certain muscle groups) or hold for a longer time than usual (building muscle strength and endurance).
  • For example, you might stay in a plank for several breaths during power yoga instead of simply “flowing” through the plank like Vinyasa .
  • Power Yoga classes incorporate the key components of fitness, including:
  1. Strength
  2. Flexibility
  3. Cardio
  4. Balance
  • Distinct characteristics of Power Yoga compared to other forms of Yoga:
  • May combine yoga with other aerobic movements: Unlike other yoga forms, power yoga may incorporate different types of exercise into the class, such as sit-ups, squats, and even light weights that can be used to build strength in the poses.
  • Less focus on meditation: While meditation, breath quality awareness, and mindfulness are paramount in most types of yoga, power yoga is more focused on the physical workout.
  • Structure-free poses: While other styles of yoga like Ashtanga have a set series of postures, Power Yoga varies class for class. Because of this, a power yoga class could be created to target certain areas of the body, such as the lower body or core.

    The Power Yoga package includes the following:

    – 2 Yoga sessions per week. These will be performed in a group setting.

    – Nutritional plan according to agreed-upon health and fitness goals

    – Weekly body fat assessments (If this forms part of your goal).

    – Monthly in-depth analysis- i.e. body circumferences (If this forms part of your goal).

     

Power Yoga Classes on offer at Move:

  1. POWER UP YOGA CLASS
  • Fast paced yoga class, where we incorporate key fitness components such as flexibility, strength, cardiovascular endurance and balance.
  1. BACK TO BASICS INTRO SESSION
  • 1 hour and 30 min introduction class for those who have little experience with exercise or specifically with yoga.
  • I will take you through the basic movements and correct form before joining a class.
  • Recommended if you are new to Yoga.
